I love smoothies. They are easy. Throw a few ingredients into a blender, hold the button down and you are done. Also they are healthy, refreshing and they taste good. A green spinach banana smoothie is however a quick (just five minutes) way to get in a decent breakfast or to charge you up after workout. Spinach banana smoothie sounds weird, but give it a try! The banana make it nice and sweet and you can`t taste the spinach. I promise.

Bananas and spinach contain a lot of fiber. My favorite feature of fiber rich food is that it makes you full for longer. The smoothie is also a great after workout. Proteins from spinach are essential for keeping you fit and strong. To top it all you get a load of iron and potassium. Potassium helps the fight against increased blood pressure and stops muscle weakness and iron keeps you vital.

Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- fresh spinach
- 1 glass water
- almonds
Instructions:
Just toss it all in the blender with a few ice cubes and mmm . . . so delicious !!
